On friday we had a tutorial of how to use Livetype. Livetype is a program where you can edit your titles for your title sequence. It was fun using livetype because of the different fonts, effects and backgrounds. There was a canvas and timeline section which is very similar with the skills audit. There were two lines of boxes around the canvas which helps us to limit ourselves of where to put the texts, in order for our text to be allowed in any form of media player. Also, there was a green line across the canvas which helps us to move the text inside those two boxes.
Then there was a section of where we can type the text and for the fonts, effects and backgrounds. There were two text box, one at the top and the other one is at the bottom. There's really no difference between the two, they only differ because of their sizes. Next to these boxes are the icons of the effects, fonts and backgrounds. There were all next to each other so it's not that hard to look for them. Also, as we clicked on each icons, there were a lot of different choices of styles that we can choose.
And the last but not the least is the timeline. It is where all the effects, fonts and backgrounds are being combine together. The photo above is a photo that shows one of my try outs of making a good title.
